Alexandra-Maria-Lara
Alexandra Maria Lara was born in Romania. She is a Romanian/German actress. Her most well-known movies include Rush, Downfall Youth Without Youth Control. The only child of Romanian actor Valentin Platareu. Alexandra started her professional career in the show business in the early years of her life. By the time she turned 16years old, Alexandra was able to land the leading roles in numerous television dramas. Her critically-acclaimed performance in the made-for-television film Der Tunnel paved way for other notable roles including that of Secretary to Adolf Hitler Traudl Junge in the commercially and critically profitable Oscar nominated war-time drama film Downfall. The Reader and Der Baader Meinhof Komplex are the other Oscar nominated films that feature the divas. Alexandra is well-known for her participation in a variety of notable projects, both in the United States and internationally. The projects include British biographical films like Control and The Dust of Time as well as French history mini-series Napoleon. In addition, she is a jury member at two festivals: The Transylvania International Film Festival and Cannes Film Festival.
